About Marianna
Therapy holds the potential to be life-changing, offering an opportunity to get to know yourself better, tend to old wounds, and tap into your core energy. Seeking support is a courageous first step in your journey and finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is essential.
I am deeply committed to facilitating healing and guiding people towards reconnecting with their authentic selves. My role is to meet you wherever you might be and walk alongside you as we honor your intuition, develop a deeper understanding of your emotions, and cultivate tools for grounding. My approach is holistic and seeks to address your whole being - mind, body, and spirit. Together, we can collaborate towards therapy goals using an Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed approach, mindfulness and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
My passion lies in supporting individuals during the perinatal period, particularly those who have experienced birth trauma. This phase of life is transformative and deserves specialized care. I draw from over 6 years of professional experience supporting families through various challenges, including time in the NICU and parenting neurodivergent children. I would be honored to be a part of your path towards a more balanced and meaningful life.
Areas of focus:
Trauma (including but not limited to birth trauma, sexual assault, and childhood abuse)
Postpartum anxiety and depression
Grief and loss
Highly sensitive people
Young adulthood
Birth workers
Fertility Issues
Parenting
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University, attended a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical program at the University of Virginia, and received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University.
