About the Event
Are you a new mom seeking in-person community and support with other moms - that's also Covid-safe?Â
Join us for Nurture: an outdoor, therapist-led support and process group for new moms. We will meet in person at Family Tree Wellness every Wednesday and take a short walk to Orchard City Green down the street, where we will set up camp on the lawn for an hour to connect with one another and dig into meaty topics like:
- Anxiety and intrusive thoughts
- Overwhelm
- Baby safety concerns
- The invisible load of motherhood/frustration with partners
- Expectations of what motherhood would be vs. what it actually is
- Developing calming and regulating skills
- Postpartum body image
The postpartum period for a new mom can feel overwhelming and isolating at times. The purpose of this group is to gather together, share stories, create community, and move our bodies a bit, to increase connection and confidence as new moms adjust to their new role. This outdoor group is led by Melissa Villamejor, AMFT (supervised by Dani Salzer, LMFT #102811).Â
Fee: $35 per meeting (register in advance)
Water, snacks and blankets provided. Babies and toddlers welcome.Â
If you or a close family member has symptoms consistent with Covid, please refrain from attending this in-person gathering.
