About Estelle

Welcome and bonjour!

For 20 years, I worked as a pediatric nurse and developed extensive experience in the care of children and their parents. I worked in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU), as well as an institution for children with special needs, and in daycare settings. From this experience, along with my own experience as a parent, I learned that people are more than their struggles or their illness and I became passionate about helping people find creative ways to adapt and thrive.

I am drawn to supporting people in their transition to parenthood and helping them to become the parents they want to be. I believe parenthood is a wonderful but challenging experience. I am here to offer care and healing for you on your journey. I also love working with children, and especially enjoy babies and elementary school kids. I have knowledge and comfort with neurodiversity and I work well with mixed-neurotype couples, as well as couples who are struggling with communication and connection more generally.

I believe in the mind-body connection and use a bio-psycho-social approach to provide a non-judgmental and warm environment. I draw from Family Systems, Strengths-Based, and Solution-Focused Therapies. As a life-long learner, I am always eager to integrate current research, and I also reference neuroscience, Internal Family Systems, and attachment theories to tailor my therapy to your specific needs. I am also a BrainPaint Neurofeedback practitioner and I offer neurofeedback as a modality to further support healing in clients who are struggling with symptoms related to ADHD, trauma, anxiety, autism and depression.

As a native French speaker who arrived in California in 2012, I can provide therapy in French. This experience of cultural change developed my sensitivity to the difficulties encountered by immigrants and non-English speakers and I welcome clients who relate to these particular challenges.
